If the latest Macbook Air rumors are true, notebook shoppers may want to delay their purchases until the end of February. On Feb. 24, Apple is planning on sneaking out a refresh for its 11 and 13-inch Macbook Airs featuring new Intel 5th Generation “Broadwell” Core i5 and i7 CPUs. While it’s not the sexiest sounding update, the new chips are slightly faster, feature improved integrated graphics, and have increased power efficiency for better battery life.

 The most recent Macbook Air update came in April 2014 and featured small boosts to CPU clock speeds and $100 price cuts.

 As for the also rumored 12-inch Macbook Air, French website iGen claims Apple will host a product showcase Feb. 28 featuring the new 12-inch model along with its newly updated siblings. This may help steal some thunder from Mobile World Congress in Spain the following week, an event that Apple regularly skips.

Unfortunately, it seems like the Macbook Pro won’t see any improvements during this update cycle. The Macbook Pro line may instead be refreshed in April, which would coincide with the expected release window for the Apple Watch.
